Sophia Rosing’s Parents Attempt To Plead Not Guilty For Their Daughters’ Inappropriate Action
The former University of Kentucky student, Sophia Rosing, despite ongoing support from her parents, was ultimately sentenced guilty for her discriminatory and offensive actions toward her colleague.
Sophia Rosing was born in Kenton County, Kentucky, in 2000 to her parents, Paul Donald Rosing and Jill Algie Rosing.
During her time at the University, Sophia took on various roles, including student influencer and brand ambassador.
She was also involved in extracurricular activities in her high school years at Beechwood High School, promising a bright future.
However, Sophia’s inappropriate actions led to her expulsion and compelled her parents to plead not guilty.
Efforts of Sophia’s Parents To Improve Her Situation Despite The World Wide Backlash
Sophia Rosing’s terrible behavior and drunken actions through a video led to serious consequences, impacting her parents’ decisions.
On November 6, 2022, Sophia got involved in discriminatory actions and verbal misuse, resulting in her detention.

She was charged with multiple offenses, including public intoxication and disorderly conduct towards the victim, Kylah Spring.
Despite all the backlash, Sophia Rosing’s parents stood by her side and supported her extensively, even through investigations.
Her mother, Jill Rosing, continues to raise a petition to the public to give her daughter a second chance.
She also holds common ground on the fact that “no one is perfect” and asks permission to let her daughter finish school.
Her father, Paul Donald Rosing, also supported and did not hesitate to pay a $10,000 bond for the recovery.
Thus, the parents express the required support and even apologize on the daughter’s behalf for her remorseful deed.
The Changing Course of Action In Sophia Rosing’s Life
Sophia Rosing faced intense negative media attention and public anger over her actions that immediately placed her behind bars.
While working in the campus residence hall, the victim was attacked multiple times in the stomach, bitten, and called using the N-word.
She even denies accepting her fault and blames the victim for her racial features. However, a lot of apologies took place during the proceedings.
Kylan Springs then forgave her as she proudly claimed she was not brought up to hold grudges.
Later, with the legal processes and a mediation session with the victim, Sophia pleaded guilty on August 12, 2024.
Therefore, her sentencing is scheduled for October 17, 2024, and she faces up to one year in prison and must complete 100 hours of community service.
