Angela Anxiously Awaits News of Her Husband and Children
Angela Bacares and Mike Lynch have two daughters. Hannah was preparing to study English literature at Oxford University, but the name of their other daughter hasn’t been widely disclosed.
Their family has largely kept a low profile, but their daughter Hannah Lynch was reported missing following a recent yacht incident.
In August 2024, the luxury superyacht Bayesian, measuring 183ft, tragically sank off the coast of Sicily. A powerful sea tornado struck the yacht, causing it to capsize.
On board were 22 passengers, including British tech billionaire Mike Lynch, his wife, Angela Bacares, and their 18-year-old daughter, Hannah. The family had set out for a relaxing trip when the storm hit unexpectedly.
The storm snapped the yacht’s mast while it was anchored near the Sicilian port of Porticello, causing the vessel to lose balance and overturn.
Angela Bacares was among the 15 people rescued. She suffered injuries while escaping over shards of broken glass. Unfortunately, her husband Mike and their daughter Hannah remain missing.
Additionally, rescuers have recovered one body, believed to be the yacht’s chef. The search for other missing individuals continues.
Angela Bacares, known for her business success, eagerly awaits news about her family.
As the sole shareholder of Revtom Limited, the company that owns the Bayesian, Bacares was enjoying time with her children and husband when disaster struck.
The Bayesian, built by Italian shipbuilder Perini Navi in 2008 and refitted in 2020, was last seen near the port of Milazzo before its final, ill-fated journey. Search and rescue efforts are still ongoing.
