WSJ Journalist Evan Gershkovich is Not Married and Has No Wife Yet!

Evan Gershkovich, an American reporter who was recently released from a Russian prison as part of a major prisoner exchange between the United States and Russia, is not married and has no wife to date.

Gershkovich is an American Journalist known for being detained by Russia’s Federal Security Service for spying in Russia.

Gershkovich was a well-known journalist and reporter who covered Russia at The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Currently, Evan is in the media spotlight for being free from a Russian prison where he was held for one year, four months, and three days.

Gershkovich’s Family Thanks The U.S. Government Personnel for the Safe Release of Evan

Evan was born on October 26, 1991, in Princeton and was raised by his loving parents, Ella and Mikhail Gershkovich.

Both of his parents were Jewish immigrants who settled in the U.S. after leaving the Soviet Union via the U.S. Refugee Resettlement Program.

In addition to his parents, Evan has a loving sister named Danielle, who is a few years older than him.

Additionally, Evan Gershkovich has not yet started his own family, as he is not married and does not have any wife or children.

Furthermore, instead of starting his own marital life, Evan focused on his professional growth, covering different news and journeys

Evan completed his graduation from Bowdoin College with a major in philosophy and English and writing for student newspapers.

Moreover, his education journey and passion for journalism led him to cover news for The Wall Street Journal.

His involvement with the WSJ led him to cover for Russia, which later led him to become one of the victims of Russia’s Federal Security Service arrest.

Following his arrest in March 2023, his friends and family have been releasing campings and protesting for his safe release.

His admirers finally got him back on August 1, 2024, under release as part of a prisoner exchange in Turkey.

On behalf of his release, his family shared a statement expressing their gratitude and thanking President Biden, Kamala Harris, and many other U.S personnel, stating,

“We have waited 491 days for Evan’s release, and it’s hard to describe what today feels like. We can’t wait to give him the biggest hug and see his sweet and brave smile up close. Most important now is taking care of Evan and being together again. No family should have to go through this, and so we share relief and joy today with Paul and Alsu’s families.

Furthermore, in addition to Evan, twenty-five other individuals, including Paul Whelan, a former US Marine, were released from prison.
