Political Leader Ismail Haniyeh Shared Six Decades of His Life With His Wife Amal

Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, who was recently eliminated by an Israeli strike during a visit to Iran in Tehran, shared his family life with his wife, Amal, and their thirteen children.

Ismail Haniyeh was a Palestinian political figure known for his involvement with the Gaza Strip-governed organization Hamas.

Haniyeh was the personal secretary to Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, who contributed his way to becoming its leader later.

Currently, Ismail Haniyeh’s tragic incident is making media highlights following his demise in his own home in Tehran.

Ismail Haniyeh and his Wife Faced a Tragic Incident in 2024, Losing Three of Their Children in an Airstrike

Ismail Haniyeh, the Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority, was married to his wife Amal Haniyeh, with whom he had 13 children.

Other than her name, details about Ismail Haniyeh’s wife have not been disclosed. Haniyeh was not very active on social media and preferred to keep his personal life private.

While he shared a few decades of his life with his kids and wife, he faced some tragic moments by losing three of his kids in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip in 2024.

Born on 8 May 1963 at Al-Shati refugee camp, Ismail Haniyeah was raised by a family practicing Sunni Muslim religion in the al-Shati refugee camp of the Egyptian-occupied Gaza Strip.

Ismail Haniyeh’s parents were expelled from Ashkelon during the 1948 Palestine War, which led his youth life to face more difficulties.

Ismail supported his family in difficult times by working in Israel. He later attended the Islamic University of Gaza, which later led his way to the Hamas.

Furthermore, following his entry into Hamas, Ismail becomes active in different protests, including the First Intifada.

During the time of protest, he was taken by the police to serve a short prison sentence. Which continued later again, where he served a three-year sentence.

After release from prison, his fame rose through the ranks of Hamas. His rising fame led him to serve as the Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority.
